Charity it is!

I'm so happy you all don't think my minimalist way of thinking is too weird! I've wanted to do away with gift-swapping for years, but haven't dared admit my opinion...We all have plenty of STUFF, so why not share our bounty?

Scott had a great idea to make our charity personalized for each family. As individual families (feel free to combine efforts if you'd like), we could choose what service to do. Then, on a specified day and time, we could all do our service, knowing that everyone else is doing theirs too. We could take pictures and share what we did on the blog. Some ideas could include: visiting a rest home, donate to the church humanitarian or perp. ed fund, sub for santa, give food to the food bank (have children earn $, then buy canned goods to donate), Angel tree.....the possibilities are endless! I think this would mean more to each family to get to choose what to do and see their good works in action.

Let me know what you think, then we can nail down a date and time if you are all in favor.
